Lauren is a filmmaker with a background in ballet and post-modern dance who is interested in social justice, experimental practices, cognition, memory, trauma, creativity, and humor. She has an M.A. from The New School University where she studied Documentary and Media Studies, and a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College where she studied film, dance, political science, and history. Her work has screened at festivals and galleries around New York and at backup_Festival Weimar Germany. She works as a freelance editor and shooter, and as Archives and Production Coordinator for Oral History Summer School. Lauren is currently based in Kalamazoo, MI, after living in Burlington, VT, and Brooklyn, NY.
